Application
The 3M™ Cubitron™ 3 high-performance abrasives offer a long service life and quick material removal. This allows you to minimise abrasive replacement and save costs in the long-term. The strong fibre backing and strong resin bond ensure durability and tear resistance during demanding grinding tasks
such as chamfering, grinding welding seams, surface grinding and removing burrs caused by flame cuts. In every application, the product grinds more freely and at lower temperatures. This reduces working time and operator fatigue while minimising rework.

Execution

• Revised, precision-shaped triangular ceramic grain with a patent-protected, groundbreaking grain shape. This contributes to increased productivity and a reduction in overall costs for grinding.
• 3M are pioneers, having developed the first precision-shaped grain which, thanks to 3M micro-replication technology, continuously produces new sharp cutting edges which cut effortlessly through metal. This allows quicker grinding with lower heat generation and reduced wear in comparison to conventional abrasive grain
• Conventional ceramic abrasive grain tends to plough through the metal. This causes the workpiece and the abrasive to heat up - reducing the cutting performance and service life of the abrasive in comparison to our latest precision-shaped grain
